Today we’re releasing the latest version of Readability for iOS. This update introduces a smarter interface, featuring a completely revamped menu system. We’ve replaced the dropdowns and custom header toggles with sliding cards that get you where you need to go with fewer taps. Check out the demo video and you’ll see what we mean.
We’ve also vastly improved the speed and reliability of sync, and made sure everything is shipshape for iOS 6. When the latest version of Apple’s device operating system ships next week, you’ll be ready with the most rock-solid Readability yet on your iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch.

Will the Android app be getting an update soon?
I can’t believe there is still no Evernote integration…
Please add something like paperboy that instapaper has: http://www.niemanlab.org/2012/06/the-commuters-dilemma-solved-news-me-and-now-instapaper-ready-stories-when-you-walk-out-the-door/
@Callum: We’re working hard to sync up the Android and iOS releases cycles with an ambitious roadmap, and want to make sure we get this right. We’ll let you know as release dates get confirmed.
@ Jonathan In the past the apps have focused on the “Big Three” sharing actions: Facebook, Twitter, and email. That’s something we’ll be taking another look at very soon.
Hello nice update, please add folders!!!
I gave up on Readability because the Android app is so far behind the iOS app. Would love to switch back if you could get the Android app right.
Just updated, and it’s looking nice. But I noticed that when the menu is revealed, I would assume clicking anywhere on the reading list would simply slide it back into focus; but if I click an article it simply opens that article and leaves the menu revealed in the background. Kind of wonky behaviour if you ask me.
Nice job guys! I freakin’ love reading on the phone with Readability. I do wish I could hear David’s handsome voice narrating the demo though… Maybe next time.
Congrats on a great update.
Downloading this now. Excited!
Nice update, but this app is still second to Instapaper for me due to a lack of folders. If folders were available, Instapaper woud be a memory.
